Training: Frequently Asked Questions

Julie Ha Beauty is committed to provide ONGOING support to all GRADUATES so they can confidently move forward in their careers as a permanent make up artist!

We want YOU to SUCCEED!

Do I Need To Be A Licensed Cosmetologist Or Esthetician To Take The Training?

All states and counties have different regulations regarding microblading/permanent makeup. We recommend checking your state’s laws, requirements, and guidelines before registering for any Julie Ha Beauty training course. It is your responsibility to know and abide by the laws of your state and county.

I have never taken any basic/foundation course, can I skip Foundation Course and take any of your other Training Courses?

Beginner classes are designed to build a solid foundation of permanent makeup theories and instill correct technical skills you will need before taking any advance courses. Just like every thing else that you learn in life, you must start with the basics. Perfecting your foundation will set yourself to create quality work and a solid foundation with your career. Once you have learned and perfected the foundation of microblading, then you can advance into learning more intricate microblading patterns and correction work.

Advance classes are only available to artists whom already been certified in Basic/Foundation Microblading Course (not exclusive to Julie Ha Beauty Course) so that they are fully knowledgable about microblading and permanent makeup. Advance training is exclusive to perfecting your microblading patterns/skills.

what do i need to do if i will be working on a live model for this class?

If you will be working on a live model, you must first take either an online or in person a Blood Borne Pathogen (BBP) class. It is a 3 hour course that you must pass. Once you pass the test at the end of the 3 hour class, you will receive a BBP certificate. You must mail the certificate along with other documents to the Environmental Health Department to register yourself as a Body Art Tattooist. We will guide more when you register for your class.

Will julie ha beauty provide me with a model?

Yes, we will provide you with a model. If you would like to bring your own, please arrange with us in advance.

How do I make payment toward a training course?

We accept all major credit cards, cash, and PayPal. A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your seat in the class. You must pay the balance 2 weeks before the start of class. In the event that you can not attend the scheduled class, you must inform us 2 weeks before class start and we can hold your deposit to be applied to future class. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting your deposit and a new deposit will be required should you decide to take another class with us. Deposits are non-refundable.

Do you have a payment plan?

We currently do not offer payment plans. However, we accept PayPal. With a PayPal credit account you can pay for the course and have 6 months interest free to the balance. If you do not have a PayPal credit account, you can apply at www.paypal.com.

Do I need to be an artist or have artistic skills to learn microblading?

No, but it does help. Microblading is nothing more than a muscle memory skill. The more effort and time you put into perfecting your skills the faster and better artist you will become.

Do you offer support after completing your training course?

Yes, definitely! We will support you via text or phone call for as long as you need us. We also offer shadowing days in which you can come watch us work. Watch us work on actual clients and learn how we handle different types of skins and to overcome challenges of facial asymmetry. We are here to ensure your success as your success is ours!

Will i receive a certificate?

Yes, we will issue a Certificate of Completion upon completion of class. Some insurance companies will require you to have this certificate in order to give you a policy.

How should I prepare for class to have the best outcome?

All of our courses are fast pace and intensive. As soon as you register for class, we will email you instructions on registering for the BBP and Body Art Registration along with worksheets you will need to complete and master before coming to class. Also, get plenty of rest and come mentally and emotionally ready to learn. Please do not let anything other than class occupy your mind. We recommend disconnecting from your social media and cell phones in class as it is disruptive to other students and yourself.
